I have been gone for a while, opps. I have been focusing on school and other things for a while but now that it's summer and I have a little bit more time I figured I would get back to blogging. Whether people actually read this or not I have fun doing it and I get to learn stuff in the process. I recently read this post by one of my favorite bloggers, Liz Marie Blog, and it made me realize that I should blog whether I think it is any good or not because I enjoy it and that is what matters. After I painted my living room I wanted to hang some more things on the wall since without the chair railing it was looking a little bare. I also had a metal canvas from when Geoff and I had engagement pictures done last August and I knew I wanted to use that. Being on a budget I knew I had to find inexpensive frames so I went to the thrift store and found a couple for super cheap. The rest were found at Ikea, Target, Hobby Lobby (arrow picture), and the clearance section of HomeGoods. I don't think I spent over $5 on one frame. For the layout I laid out all of the frames on the floor until I had an arrangement that I liked. I started with the metal canvas in the middle and worked around that. This next part takes a little longer but it will be worth it. Take a measuring tape and measure each frame and the length apart from each other starting with your middle frame or the largest one. Take painter's tape and tape the arrangement on the wall so you can see how it looks and rearrange if needed. Put the nails in before you take the tape off and that's it. It's pretty simple even though it can be intimidating. Hope you have a great day and thanks for stopping by!
